If you are ever back in S.C., swing by Hartsville (near Darlington).
There is a small regional RR there that runs on old SCL trackage from Florence & Ellerbe & services local industry such as the huge Sonoco plant (world's largest plastic shopping bag mfg.) in Hartsville.
I had a daughter that attended Coker College in Hartsville & I enjoyed railfanning whenever we'd go for a visit. Also check out the old ACL station in Florence. Used to be a major crew & service point on the New York to Florida passenger trains of the past.
