Cindy and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Elkhorn Inn in Landgraff, West Viriginia over Memorial Day 2010. The Inn was hosting the first Dueling Dining Car Chefs weekend featuring the receipies from James D. Porterfield's books Dining By Rail and From the Dining Car.
The Elkhorn Inn, which has been featured on HGTV, is a bed & breakfast located in McDowell County, West Virginia.
It offers great railfanning on the NS Pocahontas Division which runs outside, trophy trout fishing in the adjacent Elkhorn Creek, and also access to hundreds of miles of off-road ATV/Motorcyle trails in the nearby mountains.
